Kaleidoscope Academy was established in 2013 as a community outreach program of First Presbyterian Church of Snohomish. In 2023, the departure of key instructors and the retirement of the director, caused Kaleidoscope Academy to shift to an indefinite hiatus until new leadership emerges. This process could take several years.
Kaleidoscope Academy was designed as a place of learning for the whole community. All have been welcome, regardless of age, experience, or faith traditions. The long term goal has been to offer a wide array of learning subjects, but the initial focus was on music and the arts.
A goal of Kaleidoscope has been to create a positive learning environment which helps people to understand themselves as individuals created in the image of God, gifted with skills and talents, and given the task to use these gifts to the best of their abilities – which in itself gives glory to God.
