Amy Gudorf is a professional violinist and instructor.  In addition to performing as a musician, she has enjoyed teaching violin to students of all ages and experience levels.  Amy has a private music studio and teaches group violin to students at St. Michael Catholic School in Snohomish.  Her family enjoys being a part of the community of faith at St. Michael.  Amy employs the Suzuki method of instruction with some adaptations.

She says: “Music has been the center of my life since I first picked up the violin at the age of 7. I grew up in Shoreline and attended Arizona State University after high school.  My degrees include a BM in violin performance and an additional BM in music therapy. In 2005 I completed my MM in violin performance from Western Washington University.  I have played in numerous groups including the Bellevue Philharmonic and Spokane symphony.  I have had the opportunity to play at Benaroya Hall and 5th Ave Theater.  Currently, I am playing with the Pacifica Chamber Orchestra and I am regularly contracted for recordings for movies and video games.  Have you ever seen the Mirror Mirror or played the video game World of Warcraft?  These scores were recorded in Kenmore at Bastyr University and are a small representation of the work I get to perform.”
